As athletes, we face a lot of stress and pressure throughout the course of our careers. Pressure to perform, pressure to win, pressure to be great at all times. When we are faced with such great stress, we simply cannot perform at our peak levels.
Stress can be handled in many ways – massage, medication, drugs, meditation, and many other ways, but as an athlete, being conscious of everything we are putting in and on our bodies is vitally important. Making a mistake can result in poor performance or even suspension due to rules against medications, drugs, and topicals.
